Lansing, MI — Over the weekend, Curtis Hertel announced that he raised over $740,000 in his
first three months as a candidate for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. This is a record first
quarter fundraising haul for a non-incumbent Democratic Congressional candidate in Michigan.
The campaign’s grassroots strength is driven primarily by Michiganders excited about
Hertel’s candidacy, with over 85% of individual contributions coming from Michigan.
Curtis Hertel released the following statement on the fundraising quarter:
“I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm I have received
over these past three months following the launch of my campaign for Congress. The
outpouring of support from Michiganders who believe in our mission has been truly
humbling. I will continue to work as hard as I can to ensure we have the resources to
compete on all fronts.”
